WiMAX in the UK

WiMAX is an emerging interoperability standard for fixed and mobile wireless access for mobile devices such as PDAs, IP phones and laptops

WiMAX is all about interoperability and "Triple Play".  It is aimed directly at service providers and others wanting to provide voice, video and data services as an alternative to DSL

The technology being used to deploy WiMAX solutions is OFDM - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing. Operating frequencies are 3.5Ghz and soon to be 5Ghz and 2GHz.
